Why do I want to use Pearson SuccessNet?
Pearson SuccessNet is a Learning Management System that helps teachers in the classroom and when students are working from home. It offers access to online textbooks for students and teachers. For many products, there are supplemental materials to aid in student learning. These include online assessments that are graded and evaluated for mastery of state standards. Also, there are tools to help teachers manage assignments and view student progress.
What is an online textbook?
Online textbooks generally contain the complete contents of the printed textbook and usually provide additional features, including instant-feedback tests and quizzes, embedded videos and animations, and related resources. In many cases teachers can review reports on student activities. On occasion, some content found in the printed text books are omitted in the online books due to copyright agreements.
Which textbooks does this apply to?
Pearson's Kindergarten through Grade 12 textbooks are available on SuccessNet (predominantly Scott Foresman and Prentice Hall).
Who can access Pearson's online textbooks?
This offer is open to customers in good standing who have a valid order in our system for textbooks purchased for which online versions exist at our SuccessNet portal.
How do I get access to Pearson SuccessNet?
When your district or school purchased a product that utilizes Pearson SuccessNet, they were sent an access code that will be needed to register on Pearson SuccessNet. The teacher merely goes to the Pearson SuccessNet Web site, www.pearsonsuccessnet.com, and clicks on the registration button and follows the registration instructions. If the teacher already has an account, they should login and click on the "My Account" link from their home page. They will then be able to add the new product to their existing account.
What if I can't find my access code?
On the PearsonSuccessNet login page (www.pearsonsuccessnet.com), you will find a link for obtaining an access code. When you click on the link, you will be presented with a form where you will provide the necessary information to receive an access code. Once the form is completed and submitted, our customer support team will determine the appropriate access code and e-mail it to you.
How long does it take to receive access?
From the time you submit your request, it should take about 3 business days to receive your access code.
How do students get access to Pearson SuccessNet?
In order for students to have access to their online textbooks and other materials, they must be registered on Pearson SuccessNet and be assigned to a class by their teacher. As part of assigning a student to a class, teachers can either establish user names and passwords for their students or they can provide a special class access code that the student can use for self registration. Once the student is assigned to a class, they will have access to the student products associated with that class.
How do I use Pearson SuccessNet to support students at home?
Students can use the online textbooks to stay current with the curriculum being taught in the classroom. Depending on the product, the teacher may be able to make assignments for students who are at home to reinforce what is being covered in their textbooks and can even assess them on their progress. SuccessNet facilitates communication between student and teacher.
